HUNGRY FOR HIS PRESENCE

Every believer knows what it feels like to want more of God. Red Rocks Worship’s song “More” gives voice to that holy longing. Its lyrics echo the cry of a heart that has tasted His goodness and refuses to be satisfied with anything less. This longing is not a weakness—it is the sign of spiritual hunger. Jesus promised, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” (Matthew 5:6). When we yearn for His presence, we are aligning ourselves with the very desire of heaven.
In seasons of busyness, distraction, or hardship, it can be easy to fill life with noise and leave little room for God. Yet the song’s imagery reminds us that opening our hearts fully—not in part—allows the fullness of God to dwell within us. Like the woman who touched the hem of Jesus’ robe (Mark 5:25-34), even one touch from the Lord can heal weakness and restore strength. That touch comes not through striving, but through surrender.
This longing for more of God shapes how believers live in the world. Whether during moments of worship, in the quiet of personal prayer, or while facing unexpected challenges, the pursuit of His presence transforms ordinary life into holy ground. The workplace becomes an altar of integrity, the home a refuge of grace, and the public square a platform for witness. When the cry for “more” rises from the heart, God responds with His Spirit, filling the empty spaces with power, peace, and renewal.
PRAYER
Lord, I long for more of You. Fill my heart with Your presence and let my life reflect the fullness of Your Spirit.
